Though currently grown in many countries, the sesame plant is indigenous to East Africa. The oil’s fame is largely attributed to its wealth of antioxidants, because it contains sesamol and sesaminol, two antioxidants that may have powerful effects on health. Antioxidants are substances that help reduce cell damage caused by free radicals. Its ability to renew and soften the skin, and high penetrability. It’s no wonder why it remains a staple in massage oils.
